Hampton — Driver found after crash

Hampton, PE, April 14, 2024 – Prince District RCMP responded to a single vehicle crash in Hampton, PE, shortly after 6 a.m. earlier today. Upon arrival, authorities discovered an unoccupied car with significant damage. The injuries to any occupants were unknown as no individuals were found in or near the vehicle.

RCMP Police Dog, drones, PEI Ground Search and Rescue, and Crapaud Fire Department were deployed in an effort to locate any potential occupants. At approximately 11:30 the driver was located in the general area. The driver was taken to hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.

This investigation was conducted by the East Prince RCMP with the assistance of Queens District RCMP, RCMP Police Dog Service, Drone Operators, Provincial Traffic Services, PEI Ground Search and Rescue Team, Crapaud Fire Department, Island EMS, and Charlottetown Police Services. This investigation is ongoing.
