Investigative Recap
March 30: At approximately 8:40 a.m., White Butte RCMP received a report of a vehicle that was stolen from a residence.
White Butte RCMP responded immediately, began working to locate the vehicle, and alerted nearby detachments.
Fort Qu’Appelle RCMP located the suspect vehicle and attempted a traffic stop on Range Road 2144 near Edgeley, SK. The suspect vehicle fled, nearly striking a police vehicle and the officer standing on the road beside it, heading towards Highway #10.
For safety reasons, a spike belt was set up and the suspect vehicle ran over it on Township Road 200. Its tires were flattened and the vehicle came to a stop. An adult female was arrested at the scene. Photos of the scene are attached.
35-year-old Jessica Pangman is charged with:
- one count, resist/obstruct peace officer, Section 129(a), Criminal Code;
- one count, flight from peace officer, Section 320.17, Criminal Code;
- one count, taking motor vehicle/vessel without consent of owner, Section 335(1), Criminal Code; and
- one count, dangerous operation of a motor vehicle, Section 320.13(1), Criminal Code.

April 5: Moose Jaw RCMP on scene of serious collision on Highway #2
April 5: At approximately 11:30 p.m., Meadow Lake RCMP were conducting proactive patrols and attempted to perform a routine traffic stop in Green Lake, Saskatchewan. The vehicle did not stop and fled from the police.
Officers followed but did not pursue it after assessing the public safety risk. Meadow Lake RCMP engaged the Meadow Lake Crime Reduction Team (CRT) for assistance.
For safety reasons, a spike belt was set up and the suspect vehicle ran over it on St. Cyr Road, approximately 500 meters north of Highway #55. The suspect vehicle slowed significantly, but continued to travel for another 1.5 kilometers before coming to a stop. Officers located ammunition in the vehicle. Four adults were arrested at the scene.
During subsequent investigation, officers located two rifles with ammunition on the side of Highway #55 that the suspects had thrown out of their vehicle prior to their arrest.
38-year-old Andrew Daigneault from Ile-la-Crosse is charged with:
- one count, fail to stop for peace officer, Section 320.17, Criminal Code;
- one count, dangerous operation of a motor vehicle, Section 320.13(1), Criminal Code;
- one count, possession of firearm/weapon/device/ammunition in motor vehicle, Section 94(2), Criminal Code;
- two counts, unsafe storage of firearms, Section 86(2), Criminal Code;
- nine counts, possess firearm contrary to order, Section 117.01(3), Criminal Code; and
- two counts, fail to comply with probation order, Section 733.1(1), Criminal Code.
25-year-old Tiana Gardiner and 29-year-old Sheldon Hanson, both from Ile-la-Crosse, are charged with:
- two counts, unsafe storage of firearms, Section 86(2), Criminal Code;
- one count, possession of firearm/weapon/device/ammunition in motor vehicle, Section 94(2), Criminal Code; and
- three counts, possess firearm contrary to order, Section 117.01(3), Criminal Code.
32-year-old Floyd Morin from Ile-la-Crosse is charged with:
- two counts, unsafe storage of firearms, Section 86(2), Criminal Code;
- one count, possession of firearm/weapon/device/ammunition in motor vehicle, Section 94(2), Criminal Code; and
- six counts, possess firearm contrary to order, Section 117.01(3), Criminal Code.
Andrew Daigneault and Floyd Morin appeared in Meadow Lake Provincial Court on April 8, 2024.
Tiana Gardiner and Sheldon Hanson are scheduled to appear in Meadow Lake Provincial Court on May 13, 2024.
