On April 7, 2024, at approximately 2:35 pm, Lac du Bonnet RCMP executed a firearms search warrant at a residence in Lac du Bonnet. A search of the home produced a shotgun with ammunition, several replica firearms, a large amount of illicit cannabis, approximately 45 grams of psilocybin, and Canadian currency. Drug trafficking paraphernalia was also seized.
The 34-year-old male resident of the home was on a 10-year firearm prohibition. He was arrested. A 20-year-old male who was known to sometimes reside at the residence was also arrested. The two males were released with conditions pending a court date.
