The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), Sacramento Field Office, announces a reward of up to $25,000 for information leading to the identification, arrest, and conviction of Mario Guadalupe Vasquez. Vasquez is alleged to have fled prosecution for homicide in Solano County, California. Vasquez is described as a 31-year-old male with black hair and brown eyes who weighs 200 pounds and stands 5 feet, 7 inches tall.
Vasquez was charged with homicide on March 20, 2013, in the Superior Court of California, Solano County. Court documents allege that Vasquez shot and killed 20-year-old Jesus Adrian “Jessie” Gutierrez Amaya during an attempted robbery on Hayes Street in Fairfield, California, on February 1, 2012. Local law enforcement, including the Fairfield Police Department, continue their efforts to locate and apprehend Guadalupe Vasquez.
The FBI obtained a federal arrest warrant for Vasquez in the U.S. District Court, Eastern District of California on February 8, 2022, alleging Vasquez fled to avoid prosecution. Vasquez has ties to communities in Jalisco, Mexico, and California.
