St. Anthony RCMP arrested 49-year-old Glen Hillier of St. Anthony on February 12, 2024, as part of an ongoing drug investigation in the community.
Hillier was arrested by police at a traffic stop that was conducted on Route 430, south of St. Anthony, on Monday evening.
In continuing the investigation, St. Anthony RCMP obtained and executed a search warrant, authorized under the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act, at Hillier’s residence. Inside the home, officers located and seized more than 24 grams of cocaine, a quantity of ecstasy (MDMA), cash and other items consistent with drug trafficking.
Hillier appeared in Corner Brook court via teleconference on February 13, and is charged with the following criminal offences:
- Trafficking cocaine
- Possession of cocaine for the purpose of trafficking
- Possession of ecstasy (MDMA) for the purpose of trafficking
- Possession of proceeds of crime
Hillier was released from court on a number of conditions.
The investigation is continuing.
