U.S. Marshals Recapture Metropolitan Police Department Escapee Charged With Homicide

Washington, DC – A man who escaped police custody Sept. 6 at the George Washington University Hospital was arrested today by the U.S. Marshals Capital Area Regional Fugitive Task Force in Prince Georges County, Maryland.

Christopher Patrick Haynes, 30, was taken into custody without incident at approximately 10:30 a.m. off of Iverson Street in Oxon Hill.

The Capital Area Regional Fugitive Task Force focuses resources and efforts on the enhancement of public safety and the reduction of violence within the National Capital Region, through the identification, investigation, and apprehension of fugitives wanted for egregious crimes against the community, while ensuring the equal application of Justice, Integrity, and Service for all.
