Fort McMurray — Wood Buffalo RCMP request assistance to identify suspects in credit card fraud

Wood Buffalo RCMP are requesting the public’s assistance to identify two suspects related to suspected credit card fraud. Between Nov. 11 and Nov. 13, 2023, a number of credit cards were stolen from parked vehicles in the Fort McMurray area. The credit cards were then used to make purchases in excess of $2,000 from a number of convenience stores and gas stations in Fort McMurray. Police have obtained surveillance images of two suspects, a male and female, associated to the stolen credit card purchases.

Anyone with information regarding the identity of either suspect is asked to contact Wood Buffalo RCMP at 780-788-4040.
