Stonewall — Stonewall RCMP investigate fatal collision

On January 25, 2024, at approximately 7:00 am, Stonewall RCMP responded to a two-vehicle collision on Highway 6 in the RM of Woodlands.

A vehicle going south on Highway 6 went into the oncoming lane and collided with a semi-truck going north.

The driver of the vehicle a 29-year-old male, and his son aged 1, were both pronounced deceased at the scene.

The driver of the semi, a 74-year-old male, was taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Icy conditions are believed to be a factor in the collision.

Stonewall RCMP along with a traffic reconstructionist, continue to investigate.
