Esgenoopetitj First Nation — Neguac RCMP seeking public’s help following serious assault

The Neguac RCMP is investigating a serious assault on Esgenoopetitj First Nation, and is asking for the public’s help in hopes that it may further the investigation.

On December 29, 2023, at approximately 11:15 a.m., members of the Neguac RCMP detachment responded to a report that 46-year-old Melissa Tucker had been found severely injured in her residence on Dominic Court, on Esgenoopetitj First Nation, after not being seen for approximately four days. She was transported to hospital with serious injuries.

Further investigation and information have led police to believe that she had been assaulted sometime between December 25 and 29, 2023.

Anyone who was in direct contact with or saw Melissa Tucker between December 25 and 29, 2023, and has not yet spoken to RCMP investigators, is asked to contact the Neguac RCMP at 506-776-3000.
