On December 22, 2023, at approximately 8:55 am, Cross Lake RCMP received a report of an injured male inside a residence in Pimicikamak Cree Nation. When officers arrived, they located a deceased 47 year-old male from the community. His death is considered suspicious.
The RCMP Major Crime Unit is attending the community and is taking carriage of the investigation. RCMP Forensic Identification Services is also attending the community.
The investigation continues.
