A 19-year-old man from Moncton, N.B., has been charged following an aggravated assault in Salisbury.
On December 10, 2023, at approximately 2:40 p.m., members of the Caledonia Region RCMP detachment responded to a report of an altercation between two individuals outside of a residence on Braemar Street in Salisbury. The suspect fled the scene before police arrived, and the victim was transported to hospital with what were believed to be non-life-threatening injuries.
On December 11, shortly before 12 p.m., members of the Codiac Regional RCMP Crime Reduction Unit arrested a 19-year-old man in Moncton, in connection with the investigation.
On December 12, Shaylin LeBlanc appeared in Moncton Provincial Court by way of tele-remand, and was charged with aggravated assault. He was remanded into custody, and is scheduled to return to court on December 20 at 1:30 p.m. for a bail hearing.
The investigation is ongoing.
