Greenwood — Valley Integrated Street Crime Enforcement Unit charge three people with drug offences

The Valley Integrated Street Crime Enforcement Unit has charged three people with drug offences after a search warrant was executed at a home in Greenwood.

On November 15, 2023, the Valley Integrated Street Crime Enforcement Unit, with assistance from the Kings District RCMP General Investigation Section, Kings District RCMP, Criminal Intelligence Service Nova Scotia and RCMP Police Dog Services, executed a search warrant at a home on Argus Dr. in Greenwood. Police located one man and one woman in the home and, safely arrested them. During the search, police located and seized cocaine, scales, cash and cellular phones. Another man was arrested a shot time later, without incident during a traffic stop.

Tony Lucas, 54, from Greenwood, Justin Mader, 42, from Upper Granville and, Amanda Weir, 35, from Aylesford, have all been charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking, Possession of Property Obtained by Crime (2 counts).

All three accused were released on conditions and will appear in Kentville Provincial Court on January 30, 2024, at 9:30 a.m.
