North Kentville — Valley Integrated Street Crime Enforcement Unit charge six people with drug offences

The Valley Integrated Street Crime Enforcement Unit has charged six people with drug offences after a search warrant was executed at a home in North Kentville.

On November 10, 2023, the Valley Integrated Street Crime Enforcement Unit, with assistance from the Kings District RCMP General Investigation Section, Kings District RCMP and, the Kentville Police Service General Investigation Section, executed a search warrant at a home on Mee Rd. in North Kentville. Police located four men and two women in the home and, safely arrested them. During the search, police located and seized cocaine, psilocybin, methamphetamine, scales, cash and cellular phones.

Laura Llewellyn, 39, from North Kentville, Reece Jones, 24, from New Minas, Christopher Mackenzie, 47, from Canning, Danielle Smith, 41, from Gypsum Mines, Douglas Upshaw, 34, from Ardoise and Allen Mahaney, 57, from Kentville, have all been charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking (3 counts) and Possession of Property Obtained by Crime.

All six accused were released on conditions and will appear in Kentville Provincial Court on January 24, 2024, at 9:30 a.m.
