Charlottetown — RCMP arrest 5 impaired drivers in 2 days

November 14, 2023, Charlottetown – RCMP across PEI arrested 5 impaired drivers last Friday and Saturday. Three of these arrests were after single vehicle crashes. Two people went to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Friday Nov 10, 2023

12:50 pm Stratford RCMP responded to a report of a vehicle driving over curbs and a stop sign near a local business in Stratford. A 68 year-old woman was arrested for impaired driving. No one was injured in this case.

3:00 pm Kings District responded to a single vehicle roll over crash in Murray Harbour. A 46 year-old man was arrested for impaired driving. Two people were taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

10:27 pm Kings District RCMP received a complaint of an impaired driver. A 22 year-old man was found driving in Montague and was arrested.

Saturday Nov 11, 2023

11:25 pm Queens District RCMP responded to a single vehicle crash in South Winsloe. A 19 year-old man was arrested at the scene. No one was injured in this crash.

11:30 pm Kings District RCMP responded to a single vehicle crash in Fortune Bridge. This investigation lead to the arrest of a youth for impaired driving. No one was injured in this case.

All those arrested are expected to be in court at a later date to answer to impaired driving charges.
