A 34-year-old man from Saint-Louis-du-Ha-Ha, Q.C., has died following an off-road vehicle crash in Haut-Madawaska, N.B.
On November 11, 2023, at approximately 10:50 p.m., members of the Saint-Léonard RCMP detachment responded to a report of a single off-road vehicle crash in Picard Road in Haut-Madawaska. There were three occupants in the vehicle. One of the passengers was transported to hospital where he later died as a result of his injuries. The driver and the second passenger were transported to hospital with various injuries.
The crash is believed to have occurred when the driver lost control of the vehicle while making a turn, and ended up in a ditch. Alcohol is believed to be a contributing factor in the crash.
Members of the Haut-Madawaska Fire Department, and Ambulance New Brunswick also attended the scene. A member of the New Brunswick Coroner’s Office is assisting with the ongoing investigation, and an autopsy will be conducted to determine the man’s exact cause of death.
