Saskatchewan — Saskatchewan RCMP WEST: wanted male arrested after fleeing from police in stolen vehicle

Saskatchewan RCMP’s Saskatoon Warrant Enforcement and Suppression Team (WEST) was investigating the whereabouts of Adam Murk, who was on warrant from Melfort and Yorkton RCMP for offences including assault, flight from police and driving while prohibited.

Investigation determined Murk was in the Good Spirit Lake area and on November 6, 2023, WEST officers located him, approached him and told him he was under arrest.

He fled from officers in a vehicle for a short distance, but was arrested without incident.

Further investigation determined the vehicle he was driving had been reported stolen from the Melfort area on October 13, 2023.

As a result of continued investigation, Murk is charged with:

  • one count, possession of property obtained by crime, Section 354(1)(a), Criminal Code;
  • one count, flight from peace officer, Section 320.17, Criminal Code;
  • one count, operation of a conveyance while prohibited, Section 320.18, Criminal Code; and
  • one count, dangerous operation of a motor vehicle, Section 320.13(1), Criminal Code.

He was also arrested for his outstanding warrants.

Murk was scheduled to appear in Yorkton Provincial Court on November 7, 2023.
