Halifax District RCMP is proud to announce the opening of the North Central RCMP Detachment in Middle Musquodoboit.
This newly built facility, an investment into the communities of approximately 2.5 million dollars, serves as a crucial hub for law enforcement operations in the region, promoting public safety and security.
The North Central RCMP Detachment, located on Hwy. 224, plays a pivotal role in ensuring the safety and well-being of communities. With its strategic location, this detachment is a central point for coordinating emergency response efforts, investigations, and community outreach initiatives.
The RCMP is committed to fostering positive relationships with the community. The detachment will host various community engagement programs and events, fostering trust and collaboration.
“The North Central RCMP Detachment is a testament to our commitment in promoting public safety by being present and engaged within our communities.” says Chief Superintendent Jeffrey Christie, officer in charge of the Halifax District RCMP. “We look forward to working closely with the community as we continue to build relationships.”
The RCMP thanks the public and local councillors who joined them in celebrating this milestone at an open house that took place in September. This event provided an opportunity for the community to meet local RCMP officers, public service employees and learn more about the facility.
