A 28-year-old man from Carleton North, N.B., has been arrested for assault charges and in connection with a break, enter and theft in the community.
On September 24, 2023, members of the Western Valley Region RCMP detachment were patrolling the area of Carleton North to search for a man wanted on outstanding warrants, when police located him at a nearby residence on Greenfield Road. When police attempted to make an arrest, he refused to exit the house and a warrant was obtained to enter the residence. The 28-year-old man was arrested without further incident.
On September 25, 2023, Dustin Hawksley appeared in Woodstock Provincial Court and was charged with:
- Assault with a weapon
- Two counts of assault
- Break and Enter
Dustin Hawksley returned to court on September 28, and was released on conditions. His next appearance is scheduled for October 17.
