Serious collision in Hackney

Detectives are appealing for witnesses after a serious collision in Hackney.

Police were called at 06:40hrs on Saturday, 10 February, to a car in collision with a pedestrian in Kingsland Road, E8.

Officers and London Ambulance Service attended the location.

The pedestrian – a 71-year-old man – was taken to an east London hospital, where he remains in a critical condition.

The car – a Mercedes C220 – stopped at the scene. There has been no arrest.

Detectives from the Serious Collision Investigation Unit based at Chadwell Heath are investigating.
